Because frosted glass has a subdued impression with uniform opacity and little luster, it is popular because it easily matches Japanese-style rooms such as shoji screens and ranma (transoms).
Also, because it is finely textured and uneven, light is evenly diffused when transmitted through it, resulting in a gentle light. For this reason, this glass is also used for lighting fixtures.
Although frosted glass is often used for Japanese-style shoji screens, it is possible to produce frosted glass with original designs by changing the type of masking. Since it can be produced in the design you desire, you can realize your ideal space.
As with glass film, part of the design will not peel off due to condensation or deterioration, so it can be used for a long time in a beautiful condition.

Glass for shoji screens (bokashi sansui)” with patterns often seen in Japanese-style rooms is glass with pictures painted on the glass by masking and frosting. A total of 35 types of glass for shoji screens are available at our store.
Glass cutters can cut glass up to 15 mm thick.
