Sandblasted glass engraved with landscape painting

Glass for shoji screens is blurred glass for shoji screens with patterns and gradations called “yukimi shoji,” also known as “blurred sansui.

Because the glass is sandblasted by applying a masking paper cut out with a pattern called a plate, only patterns for which plates are in stock are available for sale.

Generally, the glass size for shoji screens is 914 mm x 610 mm and can be used without changing the size. However, in case the glass size is different, we will cut it to size.

Size order available

Since the size of glass for shoji screens is fixed, it is not possible to reduce or enlarge the size of the pattern.
We can cut around the glass to order the size, so please feel free to contact us for more information.

Glass for shoji screens with original patterns can also be manufactured.

Some people have broken glass for shoji screens in their homes and would like us to make glass with a similar pattern.

If the pattern is simple, we can make it.
Please feel free to send us a photo of the pattern, and we will determine if it is possible to make the glass.
